ABOUT US
“I have just received the translations from my mailbox. These are really very professional. You also added a few more copies of the certificates, thank you very much for those. Believe me, these are the most professional translations I have ever received in my life. We really need more people like you who do their job well. If we need any further translation services in the future, you will be the first one we will contact. Thank you very much again.”

Mission
To provide high quality full service language translation to meet the needs of the educational and scientific research communities, as well as government agencies, nonprofits, and private enterprises. We facilitate communications and use language translation to help spread knowledge to all corners of the world.
History
Transfirex was founded in February 2001 by two PhDs with one project—translating and typesetting fire safety textbooks and manuals for use in Europe and the Middle East. From this, we took our name: “Trans” for translation and “fire” in honor of our first large contract. The “x” rounds out the name. From these beginnings. Transfirex has expanded with an ever-increasing range of services. Now we serve local, state, and federal governments, educational centers, nonprofits and private enterprises. To serve our local community, we provide certified language translations for individuals. We excel in working with the best talent from our global network of experienced translators and researchers who are experts in their fields.
A Message from our CEO
Our company bridges languages and cultures and eases the difficulties of communication in today’s highly integrated globe. What motivates our work is a strong desire for peaceful coexistence in what can seem like a hyper-fragmented world. I think about my nine-year-old son and his three best friends—a Mormon, a Sikh, and a Jewish boy. I volunteer in my daughter’s first grade class—one-half of her classmates are ESL students (English as a Second Language). Her classmates are from all corners of the globe including Nigeria, Somalia, El Salvador, Mexico, and Korea. My children attend their local public school, just like I did, but—WOW—what a difference a few decades make. It’s a truism that we are a global village, but this usually refers to the fact that technology makes the world smaller. But where I live the global village is here in my neighborhood, my school, my mosque, and my grocery store. Granted I live in an area long know for its cultural diversity—the Washington DC-Metro area, but during a recent trip to Houston, TX, near the small town where I grew-up, I witnessed the dramatic change as Houston is now one of the most diverse cities in the United States with over 100 nationalities in their public school system.
So here we are in the 21st century where we have seen great human suffering due to endless wars and human problems, and I realize that ultimately it will only be through dialogue and persuasion, not military might, that we will be able to bridge our humanity and come to a common understanding among different tribes and nations. It is in this spirit that we at Transfirex, Inc. seek to make our small contribution in helping our clients communicate with their clients. Whether it be helping a company bring U.S. technology to the massive clean-up efforts in Fukushima or producing culturally appropriate fire safety brochures for the diverse immigrant communities in the United States, we at Transfirex, Inc. are firm in our mission to facilitate understanding across the globe for the betterment of humanity and the care of our earth.
We look forward to partnering with you.
